Meet Your Hosts
Michael and Judy Aragon are excited to welcome you to Glen Arbor Bed & Breakfast. They have been the owners since purchasing from the Widmayers in 2022. Judy cares deeply about the area and community, having been raised in Glen Arbor as a child (in the time when the biggest fear seemed to be poison ivy), and Michael after being brought here again and again by Judy as she was called back by family, lakes, and the natural beauty of the area. They want to invest long-term in the community, residing for over half the year here, and bringing new life and continued improvements back into the town and area that is treasured by them. They hope to be an impetus to others to bring more visitors here and to keep the area active throughout the year.
Michael and Judy, both brought up in large, close families, have always felt the need to reach out to others and enjoy providing everyone the gift of special food, and the gifts of comfort and laughter that filled their homes as they were growing up. Glen Arbor B&B, the newly renovated condos above Momentum, and the recently built duplex behind the B&B are ready to welcome new and old guests and are being redone to provide additional amenities that Michael and Judy know they have enjoyed when traveling. They hope to allow others to find whatever makes their vacation time “extra special and memorable” by adding in the little touches and items that others may not provide.
They are looking forward to being able to welcome others to the place that has brought them, and their children so much joy. They cannot wait to relay their stories of Petoskey stone hunting, swimming in the lakes and rivers, canoeing, kayaking, biking, hiking, dune climbing, and local history to others. While they want to enrich others’ stays and have everyone enjoy the beauty surrounding the area, and what they feel they have to offer, they also want to build community and support the town and local businesses that they enjoy working with, eating at, and shopping at.
Michael and Judy want to share all the wonder of the area that amazes them every day. They know others will love and enjoy, and hopefully respect all the beauty that surrounds the special town of Glen Arbor

The Inn History
Built in 1872 – we found contemporary newspapers used as insulation when we renovated – the inn was originally a boarding house for loggers. It became home over the years to the Andresen family and hosted a restaurant called the Kum-n-Dyne (above in 1939), several shops, the site for school lunches when the School House was down the street, and a bed & breakfast in 1991.
The guest cottages date from the 20’s and 30’s, with modifications to all three buildings through the 50’s and 60’s. Detailed county records for the property dating from the mid-19th century are framed in the hallway for the inquisitive. The cottages have just been completely renovated into 3 luxurious new condos for families and guests who appreciate high-end finishes.
In 2023-2024 we added significant upgrades to the Bed and Breakfast. Featuring completely new bathrooms in 4 of the rooms, new paint, bedding, and other nice upgrades.
